Puri Wulandari Resort : The Testimonials

puri wulandari resortThe day is still faint when I was awakened by the twittering and chirping of wild birds. Though my eyes still drowsy, I forcefully pulled myself away from the cozy comfortable King size bed. The sweet bird calls are very inviting.
It’s true. When I pulled open my bedroom curtain, I could not believe my eyes upon seeing the mesmerizing scenery that immediately made me go for the door A thin fog gracing between the tops of canopy of the village forest at the ravine, as if welcoming me with a ‘good morning’.
I feel like I’m on the land in the sky. Perhaps this is the real beauty and serenity, I am actually at Puri Wulandari, a natural resort located on the ravine of Ayung valley in Ubud, Gianyar, Bali. About 100 meters below is the Ayung River, with its following crystal clear water along with huge rock.
Stretched out in a 3.5 hectares of land, Puri Wulandari is really very beautiful. To maintain its exclusivity, the number of villas are limited to only 34, among them; 29 Srikandi Villas each measuring 200m2, 4 Drupadi Villa which each measures to 340m2, and a 500 m2 Maharani Suites Villa.
Once inside the resort complex, we are welcomed by a picturesque green rice field. At the lobby, we are greeted by the friendly smiles of the staffs in Bali traditional clothes. From here, we’ll be accompanied to our villa in a buggy or club car, like the one they use in a golf field. The track in  this resort is quite difficult if engaged on foot. But, there’s no worry, since all our needs will be provided by the butler, ready to serve us 24 hours. “ here, we pamper our guests”, said Resort Manager of Puri Wulandari.
This boutique and spa resort is designed with a combination of Java and Bali traditional village, with high walls in break clay color is called Angkul-angkul, Bali traditional gate made from wood sculpture. Each villa has an out door living room with sago palm roof, soft wooden chairs and round dining table with tropical fruits on the top, a mini bar, and a gold fish pond on one its cormer. We can also swim in a 4 x 6 square meter private swimming pool in front of the villa adjoining the cliff. A Bale Bengong positioned at the corner can be a spot to hang out and wait for the nightfall.
A 5.5 x 5 meter wooden bedroom has two large glass doors that makes it possible for daylight to spread in equally. The interior is a combination of traditional and modern elements. The high ceiling is made from rounded bamboo and the roof of course grass, a wooden bed with a white mosquito net. There is also a 29 inch flat screen television with DVD player and 426 DVD Disc to choose from. Each afternoon the butler serve us with various traditional snacks. There are three bathroom available to choose room: with large bath tub or an indoor and out door shower. Hand-made aromatherapy soap feels so soft and fragrant, caressing your skin and refreshing your tired body after wandering in the wood near the Puri.
“It is totally quitw and natural over here. Our privacy is strictly observe”, said Yasuo Ikeda, a Japanese tourist who I met at the main swimming pool in front of Legong Restaurant. No wonder Yasuo and his wife, Etsuko, lasts for 7 days and 6 nights in the resort. “ Itried Balinese massage at Lila Ulangun Spa”, said Etsuko, “and tonight  we will try a romantic candle light dinner”, she continued. This is only held at the Janger Restaurant that serve various international menus. If you want more privacy, a romantic candle light dinner at the villa can be arranged.
“This is the right place to rest and discharge tension and stress”, said Peter Stok, President Director of Bank Niaga. “ Aside from its complete room facilities, the service is also very satisfiying”, he said.
No wonder if Puri Wulandari becomes the resort and Great Hotels Connoisseur’s Choice in extraordinary commitment to the highest degree of hospitality, service, amenities and overall guest experience’ since 2002-2005.
“I only one word to say, Fantastic! This is a perfect hideaway with exquisite, excellent facilities, service and outstanding scenery”, said Mrs.D.Stephanie Brooks, travel writer.” I have to come back some day.
